Personalization tips:Your portraits should reflect YOU. What a concept, huh? We greatly encourage you to bring in props that speak to your personality. We provide settings and props too, but our props may not reflect the real you. Do you play football? Do you dance like a graceful ballerina? Or are you a football playing ballerina? We want props that will help us tell your story! A consultation with your photographer is highly recommended. Collaboration between the two of you will set the stage for an outstanding performance during the portrait session! Tips & tricks for children:Portraits should be a fun experience. Stressed out shows… so when it is show-time, just relax and have fun. No amount of stress will change a thing! Children are unpredictable! Sometimes they do just what we want, sometimes they make their own poses. That’s OK. I have survived 2 kiddos of my own. It always works itself out. Whether for an individual session, special event, or wedding, make sure that photos sessions are a fun time for your child. Bringing props and behind the scene aids always help. Sometimes a quick snack or sippy cup makes a difference. It happens few and far between, but if for some reason your child is not cooperating that day, don’t settle for poor quality portraits. We have to schedule sessions with time limits, but we will also work with you. If a break or rescheduling is needed, we will do our best to accommodate. TIPS & TRICKS FOR TEEN/SENIORs:A pre-session consult, in person or via phone/chat, is always something we recommend. It helps us to plan and understand what you are trying to achieve! The best advice… be yourself. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event and a huge celebration of what you have accomplished. Don’t capture it trying to dress or mimic someone else’s style!
Bring clothing that you were comfortable in and colors that make you feel stunning! Our packages have different outfit limitations, but feel free to bring more and let us help you decide. Props! Bring in things that show your different sides. We do outdoor photography so it could be as big as an elephant and we can do it! Don’t forget little things like haircuts, trimming nails, or getting a manicure/pedicure, shaving, and bringing along a “touch up kit". You want to look your best, so look at all the details.
